A Little bit about us
Established in 2005, we were among the first of the new school restaurants in Flinders Lane. Throughout the years our chefs have focused on a contemporary Australian interpretation of rustic Italian cuisine. 2nd generation Italian-Australian comfort food if you will; Italian enough for nonna and Australian enough for multicultural Melbourne.
The venue itself is located in a historic 3 level warehouse which was the former site of Melbourne CBD’s RSL, dating back to the 1920’s. The address also happens to be the start of the Duckboard Place & AC/DC lane graffiti murals loop. With one of the largest footprints in Melbourne, we pride ourselves on offering lower density seating arrangements that’s conducive to both business and more intimate conversation.
We provide a professional but informal service style. Emphasis is on attentiveness without the formality. Our staff have an affinity for indie rock which is always on air across our dining rooms. With 3 bars in the venue, we always have a vast selection of quality beverages to choose from. Reservations and walk ins of all shapes and sizes are welcome.

Corporate dining at Tazo in the ‘Longroom’ was an absolute hit in all aspects. The room is large and had sufficient seating space. Started with the shared antipasto, shared entrees and choice of mains for $99 ???? Generous servings, quality fresh produce - compliments to the chef - 10 stars. The waiter staff were professional, passionate and knowledgeable of the menu. Tazio amended the menu with our logo on the header for the professional touch. I will definitely dine here again.

Larger than our ground floor dining room, our level 1 space is open daily for business lunches. It’s a great option as a quieter spot for earlier in the week, but the space is truly in its element for larger groups and events. The space design draws from our many years of running events and is built to suit a multitude of functions.

Our private dining room offers closed door privacy for groups of up to 18 guests. Ideal for when guests require an additional level of control over the dining ambience. Both lighting and background music can be adjusted to suit the party. Groups have the ability to dine in an open or closed door setting.
