Chocolate Mousse Recipe
Ingredients (makes 2 serves)
- 350 grams dark Chocolate
- 350 grams Cream
- 30 grams Sugar
- 2 egg Yolks
- 4 egg whites
- Optional teaspoon vanilla beans or vanilla essence
Method
- Heat chocolate and ½ the cream in a bowl over boiling water (easiest way to not burn the choc)
- Remove from the heat and let cool for a few minutes, and then stir in egg yolks
- In a separate bowl beat your egg whites. When they are ready they will be fluffy and form a soft peak
- Now you can beat in your sugar
- Mix beaten egg whites into your chocolate mixture
- In separate bowl whip the rest of your cream, and optionally add in your vanilla beans or essence
- Fold your chocolate into the whipped cream softly
- Pipe into glass, and garnish with some grated chocolate
